Hard rock casino tripadvisor lake tahoe12/10/2023 ![]() The rooms are severely dated and lacking of all amenities, including coffee makers and climate controls. I struggle to find one redeeming aspect or experience about our stay at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Lake Tahoe. The elevators were in poor shape, scuffed and damaged with linoleum peeling from the floors (or missing in places). ![]() The outdoor pool was no covered and was filled with debris and was a constant eye-sore. There is no indoor pool in this hotel that is surrounded by winter half of the year. No one made our made the whole time we were there and getting fresh towels was like pulling teeth. The rates seemed okay at $119/night, but after tacking on resort fees and taxes, it was $200/night for a total of $800 for the four-night stay - for a room that was not even as nice as a Motel 6. You can crack open the window about an inch, but nothing more than that. (See attached picture.) We were given a cheap little fan to run in our room to offset the heat which, naturally did nothing. ![]() The room temperature is apparently set centrally for ALL rooms. We were shocked to discover that we could not turn on the A/C when our room temperature reached 77 degrees F.
